It's fixed!

Well, I made it work. I flattened the two pieces of the broken cactus panel in the kiln... very low and slow. Once flat, they fit together perfectly like puzzle pieces. I added a 3mm piece of clear glass to the back (for extra support and to keep it all together) with some decorative saw-work around the one edge. Then design elements were selectively placed to conceal the original crack line like a little cloud and some plant material (vitrigraph stringer). Next, time for the kiln to do its magic. I fired it AGAIN.... loooow and sloooow and I'm very pleased with the results. This time I decided not to try draping it on the wave mold and just let it be in a minimalistic stand.
